AirPyrt is a python module and client for the AirPort device management interface.

It implements the AirPort proprietary management protocol, and allows control of the device without using Apple's software on the controlling host. It also allows enabling SSH on the airport devices, effectively jailbreaking the devices.

The python module also contains the logic needed to unpack and decrypt apple firmware files for most models of the airport devices.

The code for it is available at https://github.com/x56/airpyrt-tools , with a blog post describing it at http://embeddedideation.com/2016/04/24/airport-hacking-update/ .
